Here's a stray Day of the Dead painting I should have posted a few days ago. It sort of became a self-portrait along the way though I don't think I have his problems. 4x6 Acrylic
I wonder, I imagine this was one of those quick paintings that "just worked out" where every line you drew fell exactly where it should. Just a straight shot to the finish line.
In other words, perfectly executed. Although I've seen this painting before, I never realized it was a self portrait, simply cause I can't imagine you drinking or smoking.
Superb... you can see all the colors on the background. Really contrasts to the creepy figure of the skeleton doomed to his addiction to alcohol. The shadow ads a touch of majestry, cause the skeleton figure belongs to it, and someone uncovered him to find that even in paradise you'll find rotten things.
very nice
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWould that be that you are not a drunk, or the fact that you, unlike a skeleton, can actually get drunk?
ReplyDeleteAt least you're less dead, right? ^^
ReplyDeleteNice one. Saw the self-portrait thing right away.

ReplyDeleteLooks great! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the colors! (and the chin)
