Totoro Forest Project
My piece for an upcoming benefit show called the Totoro Forest Project.
The proceeds will go to preserve a threatened slice of forest in urban Japan. The very same forest that inspired director Hayao Miyazaki to create the animated film, "Totoro". The pieces have been donated by a wide range of artists and the art will be auctioned. A book of all the works is being assembled so if you can't attend the show you can at least purchase the book and know that the proceeds will do some good.
Read all about it and browse the many amazing pieces:

Wow thats really awesome. I remember watching My Neighbor Totoro when I was a little boy...Pretty much burned out our laser disc player, but it was worth it. Its a nice piece. The coloring is wonderful as usual, and the eyes just seem to pull you in.
enchanted
Yours is absolutely beautiful.
Thanks oort and zack! Eric, love the work on your site. Look forward to seeing your Totoro.
Beautiful piece and a great project!
Your piece is amazing and wonderful. I found myself kind of looking for this creature around here last night, since we have giant forested parks on two sides of our neighborhood.
The project is awesome, and I'll be buying the book as soon as it's available. Totoro resonates with everyone, and I will be delighted to do what I can to support this.
I was sitting down and a thought occurred: "After the last post, I'm just regrouping before I start digging through my high school portfolio to excavate some inflammatory pieces that will really get the crowd's blood up". Yeah, I forgot that I was still waiting for those curveballs ...Next post perhaps?

I like a lot the idea of make a book with all the artist work besides the auction.
Very Stellar piece!! Looking forward to the book for this too! Love your work so much!!!!
I like the little bunny silhouettes... and the texture of the whole thing, really cool.
Wow, I love this!
hey man. I'm still looking forward to your matric/high school year portfolio. C'mon!
I love this piece to absolute bits, I want a poster of it for my wall XD It's instantly recognisable as totoro-inspired and the eyes are just magical! Love the little rabbits too. One of the best pieces for the forest project imo.
