Piratey Panorama

Here's a sketch done in the archaic medium of pencil for a Monkey Island 2 background. I honestly haven't played the game in so long I don't remember if I actually finished this one in markers or if Peter Chan finished it or if it was even used in the game.
I sorta like the shapes and sometimes don't mind doing these puppet stage kind of compositions. Somebody remind me when I lose my mind and start reposting the same images.

Steve, I'm sure you have already lost your mind, but no...I haven't seen that image before. Very nice!

That's recognizably Woodtick, but a number of modifications were made in the version that shipped. You can see it here: http://miwiki.net/images/Scabb-woodtick.jpg

This is wonderful! It reminds me a little of the riverbank near where I live, except I think the pirates are still living in the wreckage down there...

Mr Purcell - you have no idea how many teenage nights me and my friends has spent in your backgrounds. I remember stepping out on that bridge in 1993 thinking I was done for it when Largo was about to throw me in (I had only played Sierra quest games before and thought I was gonna get it when I made a mistake). Anyway, I am really thankful for your art. It has provided me with great visual escapes and I used to walk around in your cool sceneray and just be amazed. Sometimes I let the music / sound play in the background while doing homework and I took little breaks just to walk around. Talk about escaping reality. /Best regards Sweden
