SAM & MAX
My obscure bookplate, lovingly painted and aged to perfection for the Sam & Max Surfin' the Highway Limited Edition Hardcover. The plates are signed and numbered and the book is currently shipping from Telltale Games. Also available for the budget-minded consumer of addle-brained cartoon mayhem is the soft and supple Sam & Max trade paperback. Either volume will bring hours of quiet befuddlement. Enjoy!

Steve how long is it going to take to sign all those books?
Wow man, I love Sam and Max. I haven't thought about those guys in ages.
This book looks gorgeous. I might have to pick up one of the hard covers. Congratulations.
OH-MY-GOD!! Want it!

They are all signed and ready to ship. It took me about 10 hours. I would put a movie on to create blocks of time to sign over a week. I watched Alien 1 and 2, Marathon Man, Predator and Sweeney Todd. I would get to certain numbers and stop to ponder, "666 -- Who will get this one? ", "1966 -- my favorite pop culture year", "1987 --the year the first Sam & Max comic came out, -- hmmm".
They look very nice. Hopefully they'll be shipping soon!

They should be shipping any minute!
Noticed the Outlaws image in your ID.
Fan of the game? I still have the soundtrack on my ipod.
cut and paste my last comment. I dont think the number matters. Just want to get what will soon be the most valuable thing in my posession...but you can send me a nice one if you like....
You are determind to make me poor.

We tried our best to manage the edition numbers so the fulfillment house would ship the lower ones to the pre-orders and progress from there.
I might have to buy that, just for the damned bookplate so I can frame it.
Oooo! Love the bookplate!
Starchie's right -- y'all owe it to yourselves to get some version of this. I've been having so much fun reading them all over again!
Just ordered mine. Congratulations, and we'll hopefully (x100) get more Sam and Max soon. Like that awesome webcomic :P
I've waited a lot for this, and judging by the photos, I won't be disappointed!
Thank you Steve (and all the Telltale people, of course) for making our lives a little happier ;)
BTW, i've made a pair of papercrafts of Sam & Max, you can check them at my blog. Hope you like'em :P

Did you design those papercraft figures? Because they are pretty great! I printed a set but I haven't built them yet.
If only they had a Desoto. Wink wink
Hey I remember those things! Back in high school we made those for a history project. There are programs you can download that will allow you to design those from images, and you can make it look 3D, but it's a pain in the ass.
Thanks for your comment! Nope, I didn't design those papercrafts, I only download them from cubeecraft.com and build them. They have a pretty nice collection and those models are easy to mount.
I also think a Desoto papercraft would be awesome, but very hard to build too!
At last! We're saved! :-) Thanks for this, Steve! Pre-ordered this quite a while ago.. Can't wait to receive it.
All the best!
PS: the book plate is sweeett!
-Charles-
I could probably do the Desoto....The only problem is that I would need a 3D model to work with and I cant extract it from the game.
The bookplate - now THAT's groovy!
I really thought I could get by without ordering the hardcover. I really did. When I only had the CONCEPT of 'limited signed hardcover', I thought 'I don't need to buy that'. But seeing that classy binding, the bookplate and all... ugh. It's Absolute Watchmen all over again.
Also, Outlaws had just one of the best western soundtracks ever.
Well looks like 1007 is my new lucky number.
Just received mine in the mail! #534 it's a beautiful book.
thank you, the book is awesome !
