It's been a month since I posted something about pirates. Here are a couple of character sketches from some random pirate-related effort, created and discarded at some point in time. The top one is derived from a concept by animation artist David Gosman.

Haha if that's Guybrush, he got way too much testosterone. And he looks more heroic than he usually does.

I think any blond pirate you draw will likely be immediately associated with Guybrush no matter how different the character actually is from Guybrush. Sort of a drawing version of the Basil Rathbone-Sherlock Holmes thing.
