The Fantastic Mr Some-Other-Guy

This is one of my favorite character pieces done for an un-produced feature project. It started with a very loose soft pencil sketch, xeroxed onto bristol board and painted in thin washes of acrylic. It was one of my first in this style which I became fond of for the stretch when I was doing a lot of these.

Acrylic 8 1/2X11

I really like the feel of this. He has such a wistful look. Too bad the feature didn't happen.

Really wonderful and soft feeling to it. I've noticed all your traditional work is in acrylic. Is there a reason you prefer acrylic to gouache or other media?

Its great you are able to show these pieces, would be such a shame for them not to see the light of day.
